What it is
Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the skin and the tissue beneath it. It usually enters through a small break: a cut, an insect bite, a crack between the toes. Legs are the most common site. Unlike a surface irritation, cellulitis will not clear on its own; it needs antibiotics, and it can spread quickly if ignored.
