What it is

Kids get sick fast and usually recover fast — which is exactly why an evaluation when they are sick is so valuable. Fevers, sore throats, ear infections, stomach bugs, and rashes make up the bulk of pediatric visits here, all seen in a kid-friendly setting without an appointment. The parents' question is almost always the same one we answer first: does this need to be seen today, or can it wait?

Fever — the height matters less than the child's behavior and other symptoms

Sore throat, especially with fever and swollen glands (possible strep)

Ear-pulling, ear pain, or fussiness with a cold

Vomiting or diarrhea lasting more than a day

Cough or congestion affecting sleep or feeding

Rashes, especially with fever
