What it is
Coughs, congestion, and sore throats send more people to urgent care than almost anything else — especially from fall through spring. Most are caused by viruses that simply need time, but some sore throats are strep throat, which needs a prescription antibiotic to prevent complications. The hard part is that they can feel identical in the first day or two. On-site rapid strep testing takes the guesswork out of it.
